ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a warm and cordial telephone conversation with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Thursday and conveyed his condolences over the passing of the Malaysian premier’s elder brother.
During the telephone call, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his deep sympathies and offered prayers for the departed soul. He also prayed for strength and comfort for Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and his family during this difficult time.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for sharing his grief and conveying his condolences over the loss of his brother.
The two leaders also reiterated their shared commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Malaysia, particularly in the area of economic cooperation.
Both leaders expressed their resolve to continue working to deepen the longstanding friendly ties between the two countries.
