PM Shehbaz Sharif Leaves for Davos to Attend World Economic Forum 2026

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif left for Switzerland on Tuesday to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026, scheduled to take place in Davos-Klosters from January 20 to 22.

The prime minister is leading a high-level Pakistani delegation, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar and other senior officials.

According to the Foreign Office, PM Shehbaz will participate in several key engagements, including the WEF Informal Gathering of World Economic Leaders (IGWEL) session titled “Restoring a Spirit of Dialogue in a Divided World.”

The premier is also set to host and chair a Pakistan-focused high-level business roundtable, bringing together international corporate leaders to discuss investment opportunities and economic cooperation.

On the sidelines of the forum, PM Shehbaz will hold meetings with world leaders, policymakers, and global business executives.

The Foreign Office said the prime minister will present Pakistan’s perspective on global and regional peace, economic stability, trade, and investment, while highlighting the government’s achievements and future economic vision.

The WEF Annual Meeting gathers political leaders, CEOs, heads of international organisations, and civil society representatives to deliberate on key geopolitical, economic, social, and environmental challenges.
