Tehran: Iran has dismissed media reports claiming that an Iranian negotiating team has arrived in Islamabad for talks with U.S. officials, according to the Fars News Agency.
An informed source described the claims as “completely false,” rejecting suggestions that any Iranian delegation is currently present in Pakistan for negotiations.
The source also said that any potential talks with the United States remain suspended until Washington meets its commitments regarding a ceasefire in Lebanon and Israeli attacks stop.
Iran’s Tasnim News Agency similarly reported that discussions with the U.S. will not begin under current conditions and also denied reports of an Iranian negotiating team arriving in Islamabad.
