Drone Attack Targets Saudi Aramco Facility, Operations Temporarily Suspended

Riyadh: A drone attack targeted a major oil installation operated by Saudi Aramco in the eastern Saudi city of Ras Tanura, triggering a fire at part of the facility and forcing a temporary suspension of operations, according to initial reports.

Emergency response teams and fire brigades were immediately dispatched to the site following the attack.

Authorities confirmed that the blaze broke out in one section of the oil installation, but have not yet released detailed information regarding the extent of the damage or any possible casualties.

Sources indicated that operations at the Ras Tanura refinery were temporarily halted as a precautionary measure.

The facility is considered one of Saudi Arabia’s most critical oil hubs, handling significant volumes of crude oil processing and exports on a daily basis.

Ras Tanura plays a pivotal role in global energy markets due to its strategic importance in the Kingdom’s oil export infrastructure.

Any disruption at the site could have broader implications for international oil supply and prices.
