LAHORE: Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully vigilant and prepared at all times to defend the country’s borders and ensure internal security.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the field marshal made the remarks during a visit to the Lahore Garrison, where he reviewed the operational preparedness of troops and assessed key initiatives aimed at improving training standards and enhancing combat effectiveness.
During the visit, Field Marshal Asim Munir evaluated the formation’s training and warfighting capabilities and observed a specialised field training exercise incorporating modern technologies. The exercise demonstrated the practical application of advanced systems and highlighted the Pakistan Army’s emphasis on innovation, adaptability, and operational readiness in line with future battlefield demands.
Stressing the importance of modernisation and innovation in an evolving security environment, the chief of defence forces also inspected sports and recreational facilities for troops. He underscored the role of physical fitness and high morale in maintaining an effective fighting force.
The field marshal also visited the High Care Centre at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Lahore, where he commended medical staff for delivering advanced and comprehensive healthcare services to military personnel.
Reaffirming a zero-tolerance policy towards any threat to national security, Asim Munir said the armed forces are fostering a culture of professionalism, discipline, and selfless service. He reiterated the military’s firm commitment to safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and internal stability.
