Quetta: Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of the Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on Wednesday said that no one can justify violence and terrorism under any circumstances, reaffirming the state\u2019s resolve to eliminate terrorism and its facilitators from Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The remarks came during his visit to Quetta in the aftermath of a series of coordinated terrorist attacks across multiple locations in Balochistan over the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir was given a comprehensive operational briefing on the prevailing security situation and the ongoing internal security operations in the province. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The briefing included details of recent terrorist incidents and the swift, aggressive response by security forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The military\u2019s media wing stated that Pakistan\u2019s security forces have killed a total of 197 terrorists belonging to the banned militant group \u201cFitna al-Hindustan\u201d in continued counterterrorism operations across Balochistan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, the operations also resulted in the martyrdom of 22 security personnel.\u201cCDF remarked that no terrorist and its facilitator will be spared and all will be dealt strictly as per law. No one can rationalise violence and terrorism on any pretext,\u201d the ISPR said in its statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The briefing further highlighted that the recent wave of attacks was orchestrated by India-backed, internationally designated terrorists of Fitna al-Hindustan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It added that the prompt and decisive actions by security forces successfully thwarted the militants\u2019 attempts to undermine peace, stability, and development in Balochistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Field Marshal Asim Munir paid tribute to the martyred personnel for their bravery and sacrifice, praising their unwavering commitment to defending the nation. He also lauded the operational readiness, professionalism, and resolve of the troops engaged in ongoing counterterrorism efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
