In addition, gubernatorial elections will be held in 36 states. Republicans are facing the challenge of retaining their majorities in both chambers of Congress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Democrats need a net gain of at least four seats in each chamber to secure control of both the House and the Senate. The election results are expected to have significant implications for legislation and the policy agenda of President Donald Trump during the remaining two years of his presidency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the latest Reuters\/Ipsos poll, Democrats hold an eight-point advantage over Republicans in the congressional generic ballot. Around 46 percent of registered voters expressed support for Democrats, compared with 38 percent for Republicans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The survey also found that President Donald Trump&#8217;s approval rating stands at 32 percent, close to his lowest recorded level of 31 percent. The poll included responses from 1,765 American adults, with a margin of error of approximately two percentage points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Political analysts caution that national polls reflect broader public sentiment but do not necessarily predict the final election outcome.
