US intelligence officials reportedly believe that Rezaei has close ties to Iran\u2019s Supreme Leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the report, Vance sent a letter to Rezaei last week, urging both countries to use their national interests as the basis for negotiations.
