RIYADH\/TEHRAN:<\/strong> Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has told Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian that the kingdom will not allow its territory or airspace to be used for any military action against Iran, Saudi Arabia\u2019s foreign ministry said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the statement, the crown prince reaffirmed Riyadh\u2019s commitment to respecting Iran\u2019s sovereignty and stressed that Saudi soil would not be used to launch hostile operations. He also voiced support for resolving regional disputes through dialogue and diplomatic engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the telephone call, President Pezeshkian warned that American military threats and pressure in the region would only fuel instability. He said US \u201cpsychological operations\u201d were aimed at undermining regional security and would not achieve their objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Iranian leader added that unity among Islamic countries was essential for lasting peace and stability, reiterating Tehran\u2019s openness to any process, within the framework of international law, that could prevent conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exchange came as the United States announced a multi-day air force exercise in the Middle East aimed at demonstrating its ability to rapidly deploy and sustain combat power across the region. No specific locations were disclosed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saudi Arabia\u2019s position follows a similar statement by the United Arab Emirates, which last week said it would not allow its airspace, territory or waters to be used for attacks on Iran and would not provide logistical support for any such action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tensions have risen in recent weeks amid US warnings to Tehran over protests and heightened military activity in the region, though Washington has stopped short of launching strikes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
