It requires patience, trust and continuous efforts,\u201d Naqvi said, emphasising the importance of sustained dialogue to resolve regional disputes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The interior minister further stated that Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani had worked for more than 16 hours without a break during the Swiss peace talks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Naqvi also referred to the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement (MJDA), involving Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and T\u00fcrkiye, describing it as an example of Pakistan\u2019s commitment to regional security. He stressed that the agreement was intended to promote peace rather than war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His remarks came a day after Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said the agreement\u2019s collective deterrence mechanism could come into play if diplomatic efforts failed and the regional crisis escalated into military conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In an interview with Independent Arabia, the ISPR chief described the agreement as defensive in nature and said it was not directed against any particular country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and T\u00fcrkiye signed the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement on August 7, 2026, during the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Summit for Joint Defence.
