{"id":6765,"date":"2026-09-23T08:15:30","date_gmt":"2026-09-23T08:15:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.worldwatchalert.com\/?p=6765"},"modified":"2026-09-23T08:15:32","modified_gmt":"2026-09-23T08:15:32","slug":"shehbaz-sharif-bosnias-denis-becirovic-discuss-strengthening-bilateral-ties-at-unga","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.worldwatchalert.com\/?p=6765","title":{"rendered":"Shehbaz Sharif, Bosnia\u2019s Denis Be\u0107irovi\u0107 Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Ties at UNGA"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>NEW YORK: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dr. Denis Be\u0107irovi\u0107 on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, with the two leaders reviewing bilateral relations and exchanging views on regional and international developments.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The meeting covered a wide range of areas, including political and economic relations, defence cooperation, skilled labour mobility, education and cultural exchanges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan\u2019s commitment to its historically close and fraternal ties with Bosnia and Herzegovina and expressed his desire to transform the relationship into a broad-based partnership anchored in trade and economic cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The prime minister also reiterated Pakistan\u2019s strong support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stressing that regional stability depended on a strong, stable and prosperous Bosnia and Herzegovina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Congratulating President Be\u0107irovi\u0107 on the formal opening of Bosnia and Herzegovina\u2019s European Union accession talks, Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan viewed the country as a potential regional trade and connectivity hub for Pakistani goods seeking access to European and Western Balkan markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"und\" dir=\"ltr\">Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif meets Chairman of Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency H.E.
