MUZAFFARABAD:<\/strong> The central leadership of the PML-N on Friday held a key consultative meeting with party leaders to review arrangements for former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s upcoming visit to AJK and preparations for the party’s election campaign.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting decided that Nawaz, who is also the PML-N president, would address two major public rallies in Muzaffarabad and Mirpur during his visit to the region. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is also expected to accompany him at both gatherings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants reviewed the party’s election campaign, organisational coordination, arrangements for the rallies and its overall electoral strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The leadership directed party workers to intensify the campaign by launching an extensive door-to-door outreach drive and mobilising supporters across the region ahead of the polls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing the meeting, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Muqam said the PML-N would run a vigorous election campaign in the AJK, adding that resolving public issues and ensuring the region’s development and prosperity remained the party’s foremost priorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said the PML-N government had completed several major development projects in the AJK and noted that the prime minister had announced the establishment of Daanish Schools in the territory without any formal request from the AJK government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Muqam stressed the importance of holding timely, free and transparent elections, describing them as the most effective way of addressing the people’s problems. He said the PML-N leadership had a longstanding commitment to the people of Kashmir and had always stood by them during difficult times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants expressed confidence that the party would secure victory in the July 27, 2026 AJK general elections on the strength of its record of public service, development agenda and governance performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
