Abbas Abdolkhani, Iran\u2019s commercial attach\u00e9 in Doha, told state media that shipping activities restarted following coordination between the Iranian embassy in Doha and Qatari authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The two geographically opposite ports mainly serve regional trade routes. Dayyer port was hit several times during the war, while Al-Ruwais port remains one of the main gateways for Iranian exports to Qatar. The reopening of the route is expected to reduce transportation costs and speed up the supply of goods between the two countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
