TEHRAN: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has shared details about how Tehran agreed to a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), saying it was aimed at testing the United States\u2019 resolve to respect Iran\u2019s rights.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a post on X, he said that after intensive discussions, nearly all members of the Majlis (Islamic Consultative Assembly) supported the text of the MoU. He added that this support was given so that America\u2019s true commitment to respecting the rights of the Iranian nation could be tested in practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pezeshkian further stated that Supreme Leader Motjaba Khamenei played the most significant role in ensuring that key clauses were included to protect Iran\u2019s national interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said the MoU was the outcome of months of dialogue and continuous follow-ups, describing it as an important step toward ending conflict and opening the way for negotiations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The president added that Iran has prepared itself for all possible scenarios and remains ready for any developments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
