China and Russia have strongly criticised statements and actions by US President Donald Trump regarding Iran, warning against foreign interference and the use of pressure in internal affairs of sovereign states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reacting to Trump\u2019s remarks encouraging Iranian protesters to continue demonstrations, China\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Beijing firmly opposes any external intervention in the domestic matters of other countries. A Chinese spokesperson stressed that China does not accept the use or threat of force in international relations and believes disputes must be handled through dialogue and diplomacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trump had earlier warned Iranian authorities over the killing of protesters, claiming that \u201chelp is coming soon\u201d while his administration considered both military and non-military options. However, China\u2019s response highlighted Beijing\u2019s stance against influencing internal situations through pressure or intimidation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Russia also issued a sharp warning, with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov calling US actions a serious threat to the global order. He said Washington\u2019s conduct, including threats against Iran and actions in Venezuela, violated international law and undermined global peace and stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lavrov reaffirmed Russia\u2019s commitment to agreements with Iran, stressing that no third country has the right to interfere. The Russian Foreign Ministry also rejected any threats of military action, warning against attempts to destabilise Iran through what it described as \u201ccolour revolution\u201d tactics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, protests in Iran that had continued for nearly two weeks have reportedly subsided, with conditions gradually returning to normal. International phone services have been restored, although internet access remains suspended. British media reports suggest there are no immediate signs of government collapse or divisions within Iran\u2019s top security establishment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
