In a televised message marking Marka-i-Haq, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Wednesday warned that Pakistan\u2019s response to any future miscalculation would be \u201cmore intense and decisive.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The state has described last year\u2019s military conflict with India \u2014 beginning with the April 22 Pahalgam attack and culminating in Pakistan\u2019s Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, followed by a ceasefire on May 10 \u2014 as \u201cMarka-i-Haq\u201d (Battle of Truth).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his address, Asif said Marka-i-Haq was not merely a \u201cmemorable episode\u201d for Pakistan, but a defining line that has now been permanently drawn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He cautioned that anyone on the other side of this line should recognise that Pakistan exercised tolerance and restraint during the 2025 conflict. However, he warned that any \u201cwrong assessment or miscalculation\u201d in the future would trigger a response that is \u201cmore intense and decisive.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Asif emphasised that Pakistan did not seek conflict in 2025 and continues to hold the same position today. \u201cBut there should not be any doubt; Pakistan does not only respond, but it also determines the correct course of consequences. Any adventurism against us will not remain limited [to the other side\u2019s action]; we will decide its course, its beginning and its end,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He further asserted that Marka-i-Haq had \u201cburied forever the impression\u201d that Pakistan could be pressured or isolated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Highlighting the country\u2019s defence capabilities, the minister said that Pakistan\u2019s ability to respond across air, land, and sea domains is now effective and faster than ever before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also stressed that India must understand there is no longer any room for \u201cdramatics, false flag operations and miscalculations.\u201d Warning against repeating \u201ccliched actions,\u201d Asif said such moves would come at a significantly higher cost. \u201cIt will be equivalent to suicide,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
