PESHAWAR:<\/strong> The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced the auction of fancy vehicle number plates<\/strong> featuring the names of prominent political and national figures, including PTI founder Imran Khan<\/strong>, President Asif Ali Zardari<\/strong>, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif<\/strong>, and other leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation Syed Fakhar Jehan<\/strong> said number plates bearing the names of PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto<\/strong> and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz<\/strong> will also be part of the auction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first phase, the plates \u201cImran Khan-804\u201d<\/strong> and \u201cImran Khan-1\u201d<\/strong> will go under the hammer on January 27<\/strong>. Plates named after other political leaders and national figures will be auctioned in subsequent phases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to an official advertisement by the Excise and Taxation Department, number plates featuring well-known tribal and family names \u2014 including Afridi, Gandapur, Durrani, Kundi, Yousufzai, Mahsood, and Khattak<\/strong> \u2014 will also be auctioned on January 27 at Nishtar Hall, Peshawar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Citizens can submit their applications through the Dastak app<\/strong>, with the deadline set for January 26, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bidding will start at Rs1 million<\/strong>, and the highest bidder will secure the number plate bearing their preferred political or national figure\u2019s name.
