Recent moves by the United States to tighten control over Venezuelan crude exports have added downward pressure on international oil prices, though market uncertainty continues to cause volatility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oil market analysts project further price declines in <strong>2026<\/strong>, after global benchmarks lost nearly <strong>20%<\/strong> in 2025. Brent crude is forecast to average below <strong>$60 per barrel<\/strong>, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) is expected to hover around <strong>$50 per barrel<\/strong>, with potential for further declines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If approved, revised domestic prices would stand at approximately <strong>Rs248.58 per litre for petrol<\/strong>, <strong>Rs254.38 for HSD<\/strong>, <strong>Rs169.06 for kerosene<\/strong>, and <strong>Rs144.10 for LDO<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the last price review, the government had already reduced petrol and HSD prices by <strong>Rs10.28<\/strong> and <strong>Rs8.57 per litre<\/strong>, respectively.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: Petroleum prices in Pakistan are expected to decline by up to Rs4.59 per litre from January 16 for the next fortnight, according to government and industry estimates.
