MOHMAND: <\/strong>Security forces successfully thwarted two separate infiltration attempts along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border and eliminated 13 Indian-sponsored terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during operations conducted on April 28 and 29.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the movement of a group of Fitna al-Khawarij militants attempting to infiltrate Pakistan through the border was detected in Mohmand district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ISPR stated that security forces effectively engaged the group of militants, and in a precise and skilful operation, eight terrorists belonging to Indian-sponsored Fitna al-Khawarij were sent to hell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a separate incident, another infiltration attempt by a group of Fitna al-Khawarij militants was foiled along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in North Waziristan district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During an intense exchange of fire, security forces successfully neutralised five more terrorists, the military\u2019s media wing added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ISPR said these engagements once again highlight Pakistan\u2019s longstanding concern over the failure of the Afghan Taliban regime to ensure effective border management on its side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It further stated that the Afghan Taliban regime must fulfil its obligations and prevent the use of Afghan soil by Fitna al-Khawarij, as well as stop the involvement of its citizens in terrorist activities inside Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reaffirming its stance, the ISPR said the security forces of Pakistan remain fully committed and resolute in defending the country\u2019s frontiers against all threats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, sanitisation operations have been launched in the affected areas to eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored terrorists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The statement also reiterated that the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign under Vision \u201cAzm-e-Istehkam\u201d, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue with full force to eradicate foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
