This development came as Donald Trump agreed to a two-week ceasefire with Iran, just hours before his previously set deadline, following mediation efforts led by Shehbaz Sharif.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Iran\u2019s National Security Council, formal talks between Iran and the United States are scheduled to begin in Islamabad on April 11. The proposal emphasizes \u201ccontrolled passage\u201d through the Strait of Hormuz in coordination with Iranian armed forces, effectively granting Iran a significant economic and geopolitical role. Among its key demands, Iran has insisted on the complete withdrawal of US combat forces from all regional bases and deployment zones.
