ISLAMABAD:<\/strong> Business activity and corporate registrations in Pakistan are showing a steady increase, attributed to the facilitation measures introduced under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP)<\/strong>, a total of 3,444 new companies<\/strong> were registered during the month of February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the addition of these firms, the total number of registered companies in the country has reached 287,049<\/strong>, reflecting growing confidence among investors in Pakistan\u2019s business environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SECP data further showed that 82 newly registered companies include foreign investors<\/strong>, with significant participation from China and the United States<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Global investors have mainly focused on sectors such as minerals, trade, and information technology<\/strong>, highlighting the importance of Pakistan\u2019s natural resources and its emerging digital economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adviser to the Finance Minister Khurram Shehzad<\/strong> said that during the past 15 months<\/strong>, around 19 major international companies<\/strong>, including BYD, Google, and Aramco<\/strong>, have entered Pakistan for investment opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officials say the consistent rise in company registrations reflects an improving business climate and growing investor confidence in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They added that the effective facilitation provided by the SIFC<\/strong> is playing a key role in promoting sustainable economic growth and expanding business opportunities in Pakistan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
