ISLAMABAD<\/strong>: Missiles were seen heading toward Israel early Saturday after the Israeli military said it had detected projectiles launched from Iran, according to international media reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shortly after the barrage, the Israel Defense Forces said it had initiated a new wave of air strikes targeting Iranian infrastructure in Tehran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iran\u2019s Tasnim News Agency reported that heavy air strikes hit Mehrabad Airport during the attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Israeli forces also launched fresh strikes in Lebanon, saying the operations targeted Iranian and Hezbollah positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was no immediate response from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps or Hezbollah regarding the latest developments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hezbollah has previously fired rockets toward Israel, prompting Israeli air strikes on southern suburbs of Beirut as well as eastern and southern parts of Lebanon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside Israel, residents reported hearing explosions as the country\u2019s air defence systems were activated to intercept incoming missiles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
