Tehran:<\/strong> Iran\u2019s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was martyred in US and Israeli strikes, Iranian state media confirmed on Sunday, as fresh waves of attacks reportedly hit parts of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The assassination of the Iranian leader drew swift reactions from several countries and international bodies, many of which called for restraint and de-escalation amid fears of a broader regional conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pakistan<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the targeting of Iran\u2019s supreme leader, terming it a violation of international law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a statement posted on social media platform X, the prime minister said it was an established convention that heads of state or government should not be targeted under any circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

China<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
