Tehran \/ Tel Aviv \/ Washington: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed on Sunday that there are \u201cmany signs\u201d suggesting Iran\u2019s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed in a powerful US-Israeli strike targeting his compound in central Tehran.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a televised statement, Netanyahu said, \u201cThis morning, in a powerful surprise strike, the compound of Ali Khamenei was destroyed in the heart of Tehran\u2026 and there are many signs that he is no longer alive.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, there has been no official confirmation from Tehran regarding Khamenei\u2019s fate. Iran\u2019s semi-official Tasnim and Mehr news agencies reported that the Supreme Leader remains \u201csteadfast and firm in commanding the field,\u201d directly contradicting Israeli claims and reports carried by Reuters and other media outlets citing unnamed sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump: \u2018A Lot of Iranian Leadership Is Gone\u2019<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

US President Donald Trump said in interviews with ABC News and NBC News that he believes a significant portion of Iran\u2019s leadership was killed in the coordinated strikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA lot of it is, yeah. But we don\u2019t know all, but a lot of it is. It was a very powerful strike,\u201d Trump said, adding that military operations would continue \u201cas long as we wanted to.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing reports of Khamenei\u2019s death, Trump stated, \u201cWe feel that that is a correct story,\u201d while emphasizing that \u201cthe people that make all the decisions, most of them are gone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Israel Claims Seven Senior Iranian Officials Killed<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Israeli military spokesperson Effie Defrin said in a televised briefing that several high-ranking Iranian officials were killed in the strikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Defrin said Israeli warplanes targeted multiple sites across Iran, particularly missile launcher installations, but declined to specify how long operations would continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Iran Launches \u2018Fateh Khyber\u2019 Missile Operation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    In retaliation, Iran launched a barrage of ballistic missiles and drones toward Israel under what it called Operation \u201cFateh Khyber.\u201d<\/strong> Air raid sirens sounded across several parts of Israel as explosions were reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
