ISLAMABAD:<\/strong> The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan on Saturday issued an emergency travel advisory, urging Pakistani nationals to avoid all non-essential travel to the Iran amid escalating regional tensions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a statement, the Foreign Office advised Pakistani citizens currently residing in Iran to exercise extreme caution, remain vigilant and minimise unnecessary movement. They were also directed to remain in close contact with Pakistani diplomatic missions as the security situation continues to evolve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The advisory follows a major joint military operation launched by Israel and the United States against Iranian targets earlier in the day, significantly heightening tensions in the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to international media reports, the strikes targeted several Iranian cities, including Tehran, Isfahan, Qom, Karaj and Kermanshah. Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz stated that Israel had initiated a pre-emptive operation to remove perceived threats to its security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Explosions were reported in Tehran, with Iranian state media indicating that the office of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was among the sites affected. Reports suggested that the Supreme Leader was not present in the capital at the time and had been moved to a secure location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Foreign Office reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of Pakistani nationals abroad and said it was closely monitoring developments in coordination with relevant authorities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
