Kuala Lumpur: Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has expressed deep concern over the escalating tensions and ongoing border clashes between Pakistan and Afghanistan, calling on both nations to exercise maximum restraint and immediately halt military operations.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a statement addressing the recent cross-border military actions and declarations of open hostilities, Anwar Ibrahim said he views the situation with grave concern. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted that the loss of precious lives on both sides is a source of profound sorrow, particularly as the conflict involves two neighboring Muslim countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Malaysian premier emphasized that the violence is taking place during the holy month of Ramadan, making the situation even more distressing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He urged both governments to honor the spirit of the sacred month by demonstrating patience, restraint, and a commitment to peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anwar Ibrahim called on Pakistan and Afghanistan to immediately cease all military activities and work toward de-escalation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He stressed that Pakistan\u2019s legitimate security concerns must be addressed, while Afghanistan\u2019s sovereignty and territorial integrity should be fully respected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThese two principles are not mutually exclusive,\u201d he said, underscoring that both countries\u2019 concerns can be reconciled through constructive dialogue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
