ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has decided to respond with full national resolve and unity to what official sources described as an \u201copen war\u201d by the Afghan Taliban regime following a series of deadly terrorist attacks allegedly originating from across the border.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to security sources, recent incidents \u2014 including an attack on a Frontier Constabulary convoy in Bannu, the burning of Constabulary personnel, the martyrdom of DSP Asad Mahmood in Shakardara (Kohat), and a suicide bombing in Bhakkar \u2014 amount to direct aggression against the state of Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officials termed these attacks, which occurred during the holy month of Ramadan, as evidence that the perpetrators have no connection with Islam or Pashtun traditions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They said the militants were pursuing extremist and self-styled ideologies at the cost of innocent human lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sources further stated that despite Pakistan\u2019s repeated demands to the Afghan Taliban authorities to stop sheltering and supporting what it calls \u201cFitna al-Khawarij,\u201d there has been no meaningful action. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead, they alleged that the Afghan Taliban regime\u2019s conduct reflects open hostility, challenging Pakistan\u2019s sovereignty and territorial integrity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pakistan, the sources said, will respond to this declared war with complete national determination and collective unity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Security forces, backed by public support, are fully committed to neutralizing all elements threatening the country\u2019s national security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They emphasized that the ongoing wave of violence, allegedly backed by Afghanistan and India, requires political forces in Pakistan to rise above partisan interests and confront terrorism with a unified strategy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

National security, dignity, and the protection of citizens\u2019 lives and property must take precedence over political or personal considerations, officials added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the sources, security forces and law enforcement agencies continue to make sacrifices while defending Pakistan\u2019s internal and external frontiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These sacrifices, they noted, are strengthened by the unwavering support and solidarity of the Pakistani nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officials concluded that the \u201chandful of terrorists,\u201d allegedly acting on the directives of external handlers, would be decisively defeated through national unity, traditional resolve, and coordinated security operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
