The restrictions have been in place since April 23, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The move originally came amid heightened bilateral tensions following the deadly attack in Pahalgam and New Delhi\u2019s decision to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty. Islamabad responded by closing its airspace to Indian airlines, prompting reciprocal action from India on April 30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tensions further escalated in May last year when India launched strikes on multiple Pakistani cities, triggering retaliatory military action by Pakistan.
